But that doesn't mean his first non-Geto Boys solo effort, Little Big Man, isn't a classic. Quite to the contrary, in fact. Despite Bill's best attempts to sabotage it with his slow wit and shameful cadence, LBM straddles a fine line between Miami booty-bass trunk jams, early-90's Dirty South horrorcore, and straight-up gangsta rap, managing to remain truly offensive in a time and place where being offensive had become the norm. Yes, Bill is a misogynistic, violent, hateful, stupid, loud little fucker. But you would be too if you were that shitty of a rapper.

BUSHWICK BILL - UNIVERSAL SMALL SOULJAH (2001)

But there's something about the juxtaposition of words and images here that I can't help but find kind of charming. The fact that Bill chose to name it after the 1992 Van Damme-Lundgren sci-fi/action star vehicle of the same name, adding the word "small" in the middle... The early-00's Master P vibe to it... That cover art... JESUS, that cover art!
I dunno. This is terrible, just terrible.
ENJOY!
